Relationship and Flings

Some people ask what's the difference. Honestly, i have no idea.

But there is a saying i made up...

"theres no such things as a 3 months relationship, vice versa, theres no such thing as a 2 years fling".

however, there are cases where i've been proven wrong.

My understanding of relationship is that two people intending to be together as long as they can be, having already thought about the future together. (and when i say future, i mean 5 years -> infinity future, not just 'next weeks' or 'next month')

And my understanding in fling is that deep down inside, u know that it is not going to work out in the long run, but still for the sake of having a "companion" for the time being, both decided to 'be together?'

I guess its kinda bad if one person knows that this is a fling and the other thinks its a relationship. In which case, one person will get burn more severely. But if both people have the understanding that its goin to be a "short-term" thing. I guess its not AS bad cause people will not get AS hurt.

But there are people who, at the start of a relationship, both parties, actually think that it will last. but after 1, 2 months found out that it just wasnt meant to be... hmmm.... Are these flings or relationships??? If u follow my 'saying' i guess its still consider a fling. but if u take my definition of flings and relationships into consideration, then it'll be a relationship..

I'll leave that up to you. But bare in mind, a fling can easily turn into a relationship, likewise a relationship can easily turn into a fling.

Most of us are around 20s, and i guess the people we will 'go out (as in relationships)' with the next few years will be a big part of our lives. flings or relationships alike....

All i want to say is BE CLEAR. Dont "think", but "KNOW"!!! this isnt the time to be 'testing'. Know what you want with your life and choose wisely. If u're in a fling, make sure the other party knows that its a fling so that no one gets hurt. If you are in a relationship, dont make it into a fling.

I've never been in a relationship, but i guess u can consider me having a few flings. but that was many years ago. Many people ask me why am I not in a steady relationship? its simple, I havent met anyone that i would want to spend my future (5-infinity years) with. (besides one)

i guess we all have different understanding on relationships... so if nobody agrees with my understanding, its perfectly fine.

but be clear about one thing!!! BE FUSSY WHEN IT COMES TO CHOOSING YOUR PARTNER.!!

and of cause dont forget God when it comes to life-long decisions.
