washburn- guitar #3
the other day renee complaint i start
my blog with "ok" too much....
well... not exactly complaint la... just commented...;p
so heres me not starting my blog with ''ok''...
hehe
ok, ;p so continuing from my previous blog....
i said sth bout changing into a diff instrument...
thts not exactly true... well... basically... i started playing electric guitar... most of u prob think... thts exactly the same as accoustic guitar... just tht.. its electric now?! haha...
but for those who plays guitar knows tht its vry vry different... the sound is diff... the method of playing is diff... the things u play for the same song will be different too...
anyway.... yea... and so......................
i bought this from singapore....
its not a vry good electric guitar.... but its far from crap....
its quite average...i guess. i think if i remember correctly... it prob cost bout s$800....
i was quite happy with it... but tuning it was a pain in the ass... because of the fine tuning system they use.... its vry vry hard to tune....
the original sound of the guitar without effects was nicely distorted.... hhaha... so i liked it....
but then....... i left for uk........ and of cos... just like everything else.... after couple of months without using it.... it started to rust....

Guitar no. 2
ok, if u recall few months ago i blog about a guitars...
well.... to continue the story....
this is my 2nd guitar i have... and its the 1st of my brand new guitars...(previous yamaha was given to me)
ok... so i got this guitar when i was primary 6....
i know i know..... u guys prob laughing at me tht this a yamaha "fake"...cos its "yamaDa"...lol... and it only cost rm800... not bad for a electric-accoustic guitar... ??
no....!!!!
haha.... it was actually completely crap... it is the worst guitar i ever owned....
but then again... its the 1st guitar my dad bought for me.... cant complaint i guess...
well.... dont look down on this guitar.... just only after a yr of hvin it.... (when i was in form 1).... i already won competitions... well... it was a song composing competition... i didnt sing...haha... just played the guitar while some of my frens sang....
but still.... saying all tht.... this guitar is completely crap...haha..... when i was in form 3.... the body's shape started to distort....
but i was getting into another intrument by then........ again!!!.....

!st time doing this thing....i think its called a
time lapse clip or something like tht....
louis pang thought me this but as you can see.....
mine is far from his end product...
haha
its not tht easy..... cos when the sun sets... its gets darker...
and you dont want to lose exposure...
so u try adjusting the levels and shutter speed....
i keep messing up.... dono when i sud adjust...haha...
i think i got the picture now tho... hopefully next time i'll make a nicer one
with a nicer sunset too.... >.<

kuan's bday....... well................ 'sort of'
ok, so it wasnt exactly kuan's bday.... lol... well... it was the 12th sept... not too bad i guess.... like a week after his actual bday....
we sort of accidentally unintentionally celebrated his bday....
ok... let me start from the begining.....

introduced me to this shop famous for cakes (especially brownies).....
.... wat i didnt know was that it has no sitting area..... its not those kind of cake cafes..... its just a bakery purely for ppl to buy their cakes and bugger off...
so one random day(12th sept) ... few of us (me, lester, kuan, robin and baby aka ah fatt) had sweet cravings... straight away i thought of this place.... so when we got there.... there werent any brownie slices left... the only choice we hv is to buy some other random cake slices or the whole cake of brownie....
and so.....
we bought
yupppp...lol
ok.... now let me explain the candles.... so we went to upperstar right.... but they wont allow 'outside food' to be brought in.... so we pretended we were celebrating kuan's bday.....
we actually sang bday song and everything..... well... it worked out quite well.... we manage to get away with.... cake was pretty good... wont say its the best in my life... but def the best in kk i recogn...
so...... next time u guys lookin for brownies in kk..... damai, sweet daily... ^^

been really bc lately.... no, not working.... just hanging out with frens and traveling..... mostly just hanging out with wenkie.. haha... since i dun get to see him much... went diving with him 2 weeks ago.... which was gr8....
anyway, i'll start blogging again when im free.... haha... which isnt anytime soon... cos goin to start "work".. and travel to few more places.... then prob last week in malaysia... then i'll hv a blog diarrhea....haha
just hang around for the time-being...

hey,
1st of all i need to appologies for not blogging for ages...
my 'guitar blogs' is on hold for the timebeing... as i'll b on a 3 weeks holiday as of today.... i will be able to access the internet... but i dont hv my guitar pictures and i prob dont hv the time to blog as well....
as much as i love my hometown, i also LOVE travelling... simply because, if u dont travel, u dont hv a chance to miss ur hometown...! haha...
its only when u travel, u appreciate ur hometown more.. (well for some at least.... i met someone recently who totally cant stand this place despite growin up here... yes! u!! nuri!! )
oh well.... most of u prob seen my itenery on fb already... but here it goes again....1st-4th aug, kk
4th-7th aug, spore
7th-10th aug, kl
10th-14th aug, penang (road trip!!!! woohoooooo)
14th-19th aug, kl (again)....
then im back home!!
im really lookin fwd for this ttrip!!!
for many diff reasons... (not goin to go into details.=p)

1st guitar
ok.. this the deal... couple of months ago i created a facebook quiz... "how well do you know ME? :D"
and one of the question is "how many guitars do i hv?"
haha..... apparently.... nobody got tht question right.....
most ppl say 1 or 2.... nearest was 3... cant remembered who "guessed" 3 liao....
anyway, next few weeks i'll be posting all 5 guitars up one this blog.... (one by one of cos)
and this was my 1st guitar.... like ALL 1st 'things' 0.0 .... its always special.... lol.....
this was my dad's classical guitar since his uni life in manchester... yup..!!! thts right.... its 30 over yrs old....
he passed me this guitar in primary 4 just about the same time i told him i hated organ which i hv been learning for 3 yrs....??
obviously.... after spending a bomb on an organ which was (to be honest) wasted... he wasnt willing (yet) to buy me a new guitar.... (esp right after i told him i hated organ which he spent alot of money on)
so yea.... this was my 1st guitar.... a G-120 yamaha classical guitar........
and so.... i began my guitar lessons in technics (a music school in twu).......
and after 3 months....................................

i told my dad i hated the guitar lessons.......... LOL......
well.... i said i hated the lessons...... but not playing guitar...
so wat i did was i learnt to play it myself....
i bought a chords book... get some song sheets and cds.... and just started trying-to-play..... strumming..... chords.... plucking... and all tht......
and after 2 years!!! of learning by myself with a crappy guitar.............................................

i have a list of goals for this summer!!!!!
these were the only things i were thinking about throughout my whole exam..... haha..... (nearly wrote them down on one of my exams....lol)
these are just some guidelines for me to decide where to go... wat to do.... who to hang out with this summer.... LOL
1st and foremost... i want to do as much diving as i can.... keke.... got a new underwater casing for my compact camera.... so will see how it'd go..... ;p also... i want to try get my advance license this summer..... ^^
2nd.... i want to take as much (serious) photos as i can.... not random ones like i hv took over here.
goin to try to take some really nice pictures of both ppl and scenery...
which will lead me to my 3rd goal.....
i want to learn proper photoshop.... all i know at the time being is bout messing around with contrast and levels etc etc.... (jason pang.... thts ur job... dont run away)
4th is i want to create some music... got some tunes in my head... need to find time to write it down.... hehe... dont worry guys.... u guys will never ever see me perform these tunes.... they are for my own ears.... (trust me.... its for ur own safety)
5th... theres a list of things i want to buy which im not goin to tell u...(blerk;p). will tell u guys after summer....maybe....
6th... catch up with all my old frens and make new ones at the same time.... so ppl... dont be surprise if i suddenly appear in korea/japan/aus/thailand(wink*)/hong kong/spore/US.,... (ok... mayb not US yet... sorry steve) haha.... which will start this sunday at kk IS prom!!! haha.... yup yup.... u heard right.... im goin to prom this sun.... funniest thing... its not even my school, in fact, not even my old school..... ;p (serena.. u know wat to do *wink*)
lastly, 7th... most of all... spend time with ppl closest to my heart. u know who u are.... :)
overly excited now..... for ppl still having examsss.... ...... TOO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHHAHA (EVIL LAUGHS)

okay,
so its exams...... SOOO????
doesnt mean i cant slack a lil once a while....
while to others, slacking means goin shopping.... clubbin... drinking... gyming... beach.... bla bla bla....
to me... my slacking is just stayin in my room, watchin movies, playing with my camera... and online shopping..haha... basically anything tht im doin when im not studying i consider slacking.... haha.. (yes... even takin a crap and eating)

hmmmm..... I've always wondered whats there about me tht i can write about.... i always seem to hv problem on this part. Well, i'll give it a go anyway... ok... I am 19yrs old.. (duh)... currently study in the University of Warwick....("where the hell is that?")... well... its not in warwick, its in coventry... (funny huh..... and..... 'where the hell is coventry?').... well...its 20mins away from Birmingham... (and where the hell is birmingham??) its some where in between manchester and london.... ("OOHHHHH!!!!!!!")..... HAIZ........yea..... in other words.... i study in the middle of no where. :) ok... im stuck.... not sure wat else to say about myself... i'll continue when i think of something... :) to be continue....
